GREENVILLE, Pa. (pacathletics.org) – The 2014 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Football Media Day will once again be hosted by Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa. on Wednesday, August 6. The annual media day event serves as the PAC's kickoff to the football season, with each of the league's 11 football coaches and student-athlete representatives addressing the media and previewing the upcoming season for each of their respective programs.

The 2014 season marks the 60th season of PAC football.

Beginning with a brief welcome and 2013 conference recap by PAC commissioner Joe Onderko, the league’s football coaches and student-athlete representatives will answer questions about the upcoming year. One-on-one interview sessions for media members will be available following the Q&A session with each head coach and player (approx. 2:30 p.m.).

Also participating in PAC Football Media Day will be representatives from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), who were accepted as PAC affiliate members in the sport of football on December 14, 2011. The Tartan and Spartan football programs will begin PAC play in 2014. Both CMU and CWRU will remain full members of the University Athletic Association (UAA) in all other sports.

Beginning in 2014, the PAC will play an unbalanced football schedule with eight conference and two non-conference dates.

Media members in attendance, along with each institution's head coach and sports information director, will participate in a preseason poll for the projected conference finish of the 2014 season. Full poll results will be released at the conclusion of the event and will be made available at www.pacathletics.org.

Media members interested in attending PAC Football Media Day, an invitation-only event, should contact PAC assistant commissioner/director of communications Kevin Fenstermacher at 724-456-7897 or fenstermacher@pacathletics.org.
