NEW YORK (pacathletics.org) – Carnegie Mellon University senior punter Tyler Kohman (Pataskala, Ohio | Columbus Academy), Washington & Jefferson College senior defensive back O’Shea Anderson (Rochester, Pa. | Rochester) and W&J senior wide receiver Jesse Zubik (Sewickley, Pa. | Avonworth) were recognized Thursday as members of the 2017 Associated Press (AP) Little All-America Division III football team.

Kohman, Anderson and Zubik were all named to the 25-player first team.

This marks the first year that the AP broke its All-America teams by recognizing teams from NCAA Divisions II and III and the NAIA. Previously, all three of those levels were combined into the "AP Little All-America" team.

Kohman was recently named to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Coaches’ All-America Team after being selected to the D3football.com All-South Region First Team and the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) First Team. A First Team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) selection, he finished the season as the league’s top punter with an average of 45.7 yards per punt, which ranked second nationally and set the program's single-season record. The senior had 16 punts of 50 yards or more, including a career-best 62-yarder. Kohman placed 21 of his 45 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line.

Anderson, a D3football.com All-South Region First Team and All-ECAC First Team selection, is tied for the lead in all of NCAA football with nine interceptions after playing 11 games for the Presidents this season. An All-PAC First Team honoree, Anderson’s nine interceptions are the third-most in a season in W&J history, while his 13 career interceptions are the fifth-highest total in program history. Anderson added 11 pass break-ups to total 20 passes defended in 2017. The senior also recorded 43 tackles (34 solo), with 3.0 tackles for loss and one forced fumbled.

Zubik has collected numerous end-of-year honors, which include being recognized as an AFCA Division III All-American while earning a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-America Division III football team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He was also honored as the D3football.com All-South Region Offensive Player of the Year and the ECAC Division III Offensive Player of the Year. Zubik is second in Division III with 1,408 receiving yards, tied for fourth with 17 touchdowns and ranks eighth with 84 catches. A four-year starter and semifinalist for this year’s Gagliardi Trophy, Zubik ranks among the best receivers in Division III history with 291 catches for 4,756 yards and 54 touchdowns. He holds W&J career records for yardage (third in Division III history), receptions (eighth in division III history) and touchdowns (ninth in Division III history) and is the PAC career leader in both yards and touchdowns.
