THOMAS MORE SWEEPS PAC FALL INVITATIONAL (9/29/09)
The 2009 PAC Men's Golf Fall Invitational concluded on Tuesday, September 29 in rainy conditions at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa. Thomas More swept the team and individual awards, with the Saints firing a four-man total of 293-306-599 to lead second place Washington & Jefferson (312-314-626) by 27 strokes. The Saints also posted the top two individual finishers, as medalist Joe Ruzick (68-73-141, -1) topped teammate Brandon Dulle (71-74-145, +3) by four strokes. The PAC Fall Invitational counts towards one half of the 72-hole total used to determine the 2009-10 PAC champion, with the final 36 holes to be played at Oak Tree in April 2010.

THOMAS MORE LEADS AFTER DAY ONE OF PAC FALL INVITATIONAL; RUZICK FIRES 68 (-3) TO LEAD (9/28/09)
The 2009 PAC Men's Golf Fall Invitational got underway on Monday, September 28 in windy, blustery conditions at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa. Thomas More is in control halfway through the 36-hole event, as the Saints fired a four-man total of 293 to lead second place Washington & Jefferson (312) by 19 strokes. Leading the way for the Saints is senior Joe Ruzick, who fired a 68 (-3) to lead teammate Brandon Dulle (71, E) by three strokes on the individual leaderboard. Tee times for the second and final men's round on Tuesday are now online, as are the first day tee times for the PAC Women's Golf Fall Invitational, scheduled to tee of at Oak Tree Tuesday beginning at 1 p.m. The PAC Fall Invitational counts towards one half of the 72-hole total used to determine the 2009-10 PAC champion, with the final 36 holes to be played at Oak Tree in April, 2010.

PAC FALL INVITATIONAL DAY 1 TEE TIMES SET (9/25/09)
The day one tee times and pairings for both men (Monday) and women (Tuesday) at the 36-hole 2009 PAC Fall Golf Invitational, scheduled for Monday-Wednesday, Sept. 28-30 at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa., are now online. The team scores at the fall invitational count towards one half of the 2009-10 PAC championship, with the final 36 holes scheduled for the spring at Oak Tree.

W&J FINISHES 14TH AT NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
The PAC champion Washington & Jefferson men's golf team posted the best national finish in PAC golf history on May 16, as the Presidents finished in 14th place at the 72-hole NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championships in Port St. Lucie, Fla. W&J fired a four-day total of 304-294-309-318-1225 (+73) to finish 61 strokes behind champion Oglethorpe (1164, +12). Leading the Presidents at the four-day event was Brad Cieslinski (+13) and John Williams (+15). Full coverage of the event via Golfstat is online.

W&J IN 12TH PLACE AFTER DAY THREE AT NCAAs
The PAC champion Washington & Jefferson men's golf team is currently in 12th place after 54 holes of play at the 72-hole NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championships, scheduled for May 13-16 in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The Presidents fired a four-man score of 309 on Friday to drop one spot from Thursday's 11th-place standing. Brad Cieslinski paced W&J on Friday with a 75 (+3). The NCAA will be providing live hole-by-hole coverage of the final day of the event via Golfstat on Saturday, with W&J tee times beginning at 8:20 a.m. .

W&J MAKES CUT, MOVES UP TO 11TH AT NCAAs
The PAC champion Washington & Jefferson men's golf team made a big move in the second round of competition Thursday at the 72-hole NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championships, scheduled for May 13-16 in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The Presidents fired a four-man score of 294 (+6) to move up from 21st place after 18 holes to a tie for 11th place after 36 holes with 598 (+22), 23 strokes behind first-place La Verne (575, -1). W&J's round of 294 was the fourth-best round out of 36 teams competing at the championship and ensured the Presidents made the cut for the final 36 holes this weekend. Pacing W&J on day two was senior Ryan Bashour with a career-best 71 (-1).

W&J 21st AFTER DAY 1 OF NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
The PAC champion Washington & Jefferson men's golf team is in 21st place out of 36 teams after the first round of competition Wednesday at the 72-hole NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championships, scheduled for May 13-16 in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The Presidents fired a four-man score of 304 (+16) and are 25 strokes behind team leader Methodist (279, -9). W&J was led by Brad Cieslinski with a 1-over par 73, good for a tie for 32nd place on the individual leaderboard.

W&J SWEEPS 2009 PAC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2009 PAC Men's Golf Championships and 2009 PAC Women's Golf Championships each concluded at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa., on Tuesday, April 21, with Washington & Jefferson College capturing both team titles. The men's race saw W&J fire a 36-hole total of 307-300-607, giving the Presidents a 28-stroke victory over second-place Thomas More (1212) in the 72-hole championship, which includes 36 holes played in September at the PAC Fall Invitational. Medalist honors went to Saint Vincent's Doug Mehall with an even-par 72-70-142. PAC MVP honors went to Joe Ruzick of Thomas More, who won a sudden death playoff with W&J's Brad Cieslinski after both fired a 36-hole total of 147. On the women's side, both W&J and Grove City fired 18-hole totals of 368, but the Presidents captured the title via a 54-hole score (including fall scores) of 1076, 53 strokes ahead of the Wolverines (1129). The final women's 18-hole round, scheduled for Wednesday, was canceled due to poor weather. W&J junior Leslie Walker earned MVP honors for the second straight year after carding an 84 Tuesday. At the conclusion of the tournament, W&J first-year mentor Sean Dove earned PAC Coach of the Year laurels for both men and women.

PAC FALL GOLF A PRESIDENTIAL AFFAIR: WILLIAMS, W&J MEN WIN 2008 TITLES
The 2008 PAC Fall Golf Invitational turned into a Presidential affair at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa., on Tuesday, September 30, as the Washington & Jefferson Presidents dominated play in both men's & women's action. The 36-hole men's tournament concluded with W&J firing a 285-292-577, 24 strokes ahead of second place Westminster (601). In addition, John Williams of W&J took medalist honors with a 71-68-139. The PAC Fall Golf Invitational counts for half of the 2008-09 PAC golf championship, with the final 36 holes to take place at Oak Tree in April 2009.

W&J TABS DOVE AS NEW HEAD COACH
Washington & Jefferson College has hired Sean Dove as the Presidents’ new head men’s and women’s golf coach. Dove has spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Akron. He replaces Blake Tyson, who resigned after one year in the position.

THREE W&J MEN'S GOLFERS LAUDED BY GCAA
Three members of Washington & Jefferson's PAC Championship men’s golf team recently earned national honors from the Golf Coaches Association of American (GCAA) Senior Michael Grasso and junior Marc Fillari were selected to the Cleveland Division III All-America Scholar Team.  In addition, freshman Brad Cieslinski was named to GCAA’s NCAA Division III All-Freshman Team.  He was one of only six freshmen on the national squad. 

GRASSO NAMED ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN
Washington & Jefferson senior men's golfer Michael Grasso has been tabbed to the ESPN The Magazine College Division Academic All-America Men's At-Large Third Team, released by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on June 10. Grasso, who led W&J to the PAC title and a trip to the NCAA Division III Championships, recently graduated with a 3.90 culmulative grade-point average (GPA) majoring in business administration.

WASHINGTON & JEFFERSON FINISHES TIED FOR 24TH AT 2008 NCAA DIVISION III CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2008 PAC champion Washington & Jefferson men's golf team fired a 328-320-648 to finish in a tie for 24th place at the 2008 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, at the Chateau Elan Resort in Braselton, Ga. Senior Mike Grasso paced the Presidents with an 83-73-156, finishing in a tie for 56th place. Hole-by-hole live stat coverage of the event is available online.

W&J CAPTURES 2008 PAC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2008 PAC Golf Championships concluded on Monday-Tuesday, April 21-22 at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa., with Washington & Jefferson College capturing both the men's & women's team titles. On the men's side, W&J fired a four-man total of 302-297-599 to top the field and earn the first-ever PAC automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Championships. Saint Vincent, while ineligible for the PAC title due to its NCAA Division III provisional status, fired the low men's team score in the eight-round championship series with 2448, five strokes ahead of W&J. Medalist honors went to Brad Cieslinski of W&J, who edged Tyler Fitch of Grove City in a one-hole playoff for the title. The women's standings saw W&J post a 357-350-707 to easily outdistance second place Westminster. W&J sophomore Leslie Walker earned medalist honors for the second consecutive year, while President first-year head coach Blake Tyson was named 2008 PAC Men's & Women's Golf Coach of the Year.
